In 2023, the Russian agency RIA Nowosti reported on ongoing work on the improvement of [a fresh kind of multi-guided rocket launcher called the 300 mm rocket launcher, which is the improvement version of the 9K58-4 Kama system](https://defence24.pl/power-arms/Russian-with-new-missile system). This meant that the Russians pulled the task out of the drawer from many years ago, which was a slim version of the BM-30 Deterioration launched on a fresh medium. Since then, however, no information has appeared about the process of refreshing this project, but that the first serial copy was to appear in April 2024 (which did not occur).
