The Russian military attacked the military airport and energy infrastructure in Ukraine in a night attack involving rockets and kamikaze drones, reported the Ministry of Defence in Moscow.
In a Saturday statement, the ministry reported that the attack, which was carried out utilizing precise air, land and sea weapons, as well as unmanned aircraft with explosive charges, was directed at military airport infrastructure and an energy facility that supplied Ukrainian forces with fuel in Donbasa."The mark of the attack has been achieved. All targets have been hit’ – informed Russian military officials without revealing the location of the targets.In a separate message from Saturday, the ministry stated that Russian combat aircraft, drones, rockets and artillery destroyed respective unmanned aircraft production workshops as well as ammunition depots in Ukraine.Meanwhile, Ukraine reported a massive attack by Russia on the energy infrastructure in the town of Krzemieńczuk in the region of Poltava.The Ukrainian military estimated that Russia utilized nearly 300 kamikaze drones and 8 missiles in its nightly attack.In fresh weeks, Russia has carried out a series of attacks against Ukrainian military facilities after Kiev importantly increased the number of cross-border drone attacks.Moscow described the escalation as an effort by Kiev to derail ongoing peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.On Tuesday, the Russian Ministry of Defence stated that a combined attack, akin in kind to that reported on Saturday, hit military-industrial facilities in the Kiev Oblast, as well as in Ukraine-controlled parts of the Zaporosk Oblast.
