The Russian government will allocate up to 10.46 billion rubles (about PLN 450.7 million) to subsidize the debt for the construction of a lithium-ion battery mill to drones – the independent portal The Insider today, citing a government document.
The Innovative Energy Systems (INESIS) plant, which belongs to 85.81 percent of the maker of Unmanned Bus Transport (Transport of the Future), is expected to produce 4 GWh batteries per year. According to the portal, it will be about 200 times the current production capacity of the company.
The Insider points out that Budusche Transport is 1 of the largest Russian producers of unmanned air systems and has already received crucial state support. The company is officially focused on civilian applications, but associated constructions are utilized by Russian troops in the war against Ukraine.
The improvement of its own battery production is primarily intended to let for further expansion of Russian drone production, including FPV drones, and to reduce the dependence of this sector on abroad supplies. Russia is presently inactive dependent on imports of a large part of the natural materials, components and equipment utilized in battery production and China remains the main supplier.
