We present to you a study with selected aspects of the politics and economics of the Russian Federation. The squad of the Institute of fresh Europe addresses issues specified as the unlimited hybrid war, the state of Russian economics, Russian activities in Africa and the Russian military-industrial complex. We hope that the issues discussed as well as the conclusions drawn and recommendations will service decision-makers in the formation of appropriate safety and defence policies. Especially in times of increased public debate about the state and capabilities of the Russian Federation, is it truly a “paper tiger” as late defined by Donald Trump and what intent does Russia's hybrid war have? We believe that correctly identified areas of politics and the state of Russian economics, will bring the readers closer to the real capabilities of the Russian Federation, and its further possible steps internationally.
