The year 2024 was in many respects peculiar for the process of modernization of the Polish Armed Forces. At the end of December 2023, we faced a change in the management of the MON and the full government, which in the past frequently resulted in changes in priorities, redefining and delays. However, the passing year was besides peculiar due to the fact that it was the 3rd year of full-scale war in Ukraine. Its course, Russian mobilization and construction of the alliance system, as well as the restrictions on assistance for Kiev, made it hard to presume that Poland (and another NATO countries) will be able to implement the modernisation process safely and peacefully. And it was most likely due to the threat that the fresh leadership of the MON and the government chose to continue** in the modernisation process while stressing the expanding function of the defence industry.
