Look out, parent! MEN took any of the comments into account, but the immense threat remains!
date:19 March 2025 Editor: Anna
Over the past fewer months, we have tried to build a social opposition to the introduction of depraved sex education into schools as part of a fresh subject "health education". Our appeal against the introduction of this item was signed by 97,000 people. We have prepared a detailed analysis of the program base, which Catholic and right-wing media published. We besides alerted about the threat through a number of another press releases. We opposed propaganda for the subject and manipulations in 2 texts reprinted by Catholic media. We have made a number of substantive comments to the Ministry of Education as part of a public consultation. We interviewed and were active in social media.
Today we can share that our actions have brought effect! On March 6, Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka issued a regulation in which she announced the final version of the programme basis for the subject "health education".

At least in school year 2025/26 it will not be compulsory, and the Ministry besides took part in any of our substantive comments and amended the first draft programme basis (especially for the primary school programme).
Unfortunately, our satisfaction is limited. The subject, even after the amendments, remains a immense threat to children. It's based on a completely different approach to sexuality from what I would like to rise my children in. Therefore, I encourage all parents to be vigilant!
I present my analysis of the final version of the programme basis below, which I hope will be of aid to you.
Analysis of the changes in the programme basis on sexuality - General comments
As part of the public consultation, in November we submitted a number of substantive and legal comments to the Ministry of Education in which we pointed out in item what was harmful in the proposed programme basis (Notes to the draft regulation amending the programme basis for primary schools; Notes to the draft regulation amending the programme basis for secondary schools).
Our reservations primarily afraid the approach to sexuality on which the subject is to be based. We wrote, among others: "So far, the teaching framework for sexuality in the Polish school was family, and the criterion for assessing sexual activity – love and a lasting relation certified with a matrimony oath. Meanwhile, the concept of household is uncommon in the curriculum and the mention to matrimony falls only once, in comparison with informal unions in the field of legislation. They besides abandoned teaching work and talking about the harmfulness of premature sexual initiation. The teaching framework for wellness education is “sexual health” and, in fact, sexual pleasance hidden behind this slogan. The criterion for assessing sexual activity is "conscious consent". To tell children that sexual intercourse is acceptable, as long as it is conscious and voluntary, and this is the effect of giving up talking about the harmfulness of premature sexual initiation and emphasizing “conscious consent” as the only request concerning sexual activity, anti-educational. Any sexual activity in a teenage age is harmful."
In addition to criticism of the general assumptions of the programme base, we have besides made a number of detailed comments on its circumstantial provisions.
The final version of the primary school curriculum introduces a number of good changes, taking into account any of the comments we have made: the student is to discuss the value of the family, learn to realize the function of work in relation to sexuality, to be able to mention the consequences of premature sexual initiation. It was abandoned to teach 10-12 year olds that masturbation is simply a medical norm and to explain to 13-14 year olds what transgenderness and cisperity is. Nevertheless, I inactive have large reservations about this. I believe that even after the amendments the emphasis on preparing for household life is besides weak. I besides don't like the fact that, compared to the WED class, the curriculum does not supply for children to say that sexual intercourse should affect matrimony and faithful love for life. Ba! It does not talk about having intercourse with any relation or love. My concern is besides that many records of the basis are formulated so mostly that if the kid finds a teacher with views akin to the minister Nowacka or the author of the program basis - Prof. Zbigniew Izdebski, he can meet with depraved content. For example, a student in VII-VIII class is expected to "develop concepts of psychosexual orientation and sex identity". The teacher may effort to strengthen the process of identifying the kid with his/her own sex (which was the basis of the WFD), but he/she may as well teach him/her to treat various disorders as normal. The student is besides to "be able to characterize contraception methods". Again, 1 teacher can discuss on this occasion the dangers it poses to health, or discuss the moral issues associated with its application, and another can uncritically encourage its application and even supply instructions on how to do so.
In the case of the curriculum for secondary schools, unfortunately, nothing has changed. The programme basis inactive does not supply for the learning of youth responsibility, talking about the harmfulness of premature sexual initiation, binding sexuality to matrimony and love, talking about household values. It looks a bit like the authors of the basics of the program considered, however, that 13-14 years of age is besides early to undertake sexual initiation, hence changes in the basis for primary schools, but at the same time they believe that sexual intercourse since the age of 15 is OK. The comments we gave the Ministry stay valid. I powerfully advise against sending children to specified a job, unless there is absolute certainty that the teacher of the subject will not want to follow the program basis.
Detailed list of changes made to the sexuality programme basis
Class IV-VI of primary school:
- the listing of autosexual behaviour (masturbation) as a standard of medical behaviour has been abandoned;
- the discussion of different models of families was abandoned without indicating the desired pattern;
- the entry ‘the student discusses the value of the household in the individual life of a person’ is added;
- the words ‘the student knows the rights of the kid and the obligations of the parents’ are replaced by ‘the student knows the rights and obligations of the kid and the parents’.
Classes VII-VIII of primary school:
- the entry “the student understands the function of work in relation to sexuality in human life” was added;
- the entry ‘the student lists the consequences of premature sexual initiation’ is added;
- the discussion of concepts specified as cisperity, transsexuality, heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual and asexual orientations has been abandoned;
There is only a general evidence that the student "develops the concept of psychosexual orientation and its development; explains the concepts related to sex identity";
- There's been a rewrite on the ability to admit manipulation. The words “the student recognizes manipulation in the social and household environment” were replaced by “the student recognizes manipulation in the immediate surroundings”.
Secondary schools:
- the words "married, partnered" have been added to the entry "the student discusses the stages of a close, long-term relation in this friendly, romanticist relationship";
- replaces the entry "Student discusses issues of sexual pleasure" with the phrase "tudent discusses the subject of liable and satisfying sexual life";
- there's besides 1 negative change. There was no talking about nanotechnology. alternatively of the phrase ‘the student distinguishes between technology and the in vitro method’, the word ‘the student distinguishes the in vitro method from another methods’.
In conclusion: we are pleased that "health education" will not be mandatory for the time being and that the programming basis for primary schools has been improved. This will aid prevent many children from becoming depraved. At the same time, we proceed to inform against this subject and encourage you to make your parents' friends of school-aged children aware of the dangers - in the face of immense propaganda from the government and the media may be unaware of them.
We besides request to be vigilant. Minister Nowacka has already announced that she would like the subject to become compulsory in the 2026/27 school year - we will proceed to protest against it. We will besides proceed to fight to remove maximum amounts of harmful content from "health education", even if it would stay optional. We will examine the content of textbooks, materials for teachers and intervene if necessary.
Thank you with all my heart for your tremendous support in this fight!
Greetings
