Robert Fico a pragmatist or a madman?

In an interview with Hlavne Sprava, Robert Fico says:

“I think Russia needs to be understood. I wouldn't want to be in a situation where I repeat like a parrot what Western propaganda says. As long as I am Prime Minister, I will argue that Ukraine's entry into NATO would be the reason for the start of planet War III is apparent to me. I keep proceeding all this ideological crap.
