Vladimir Putin appointed General Andrei Mordwiczov, known for his brutal tactics of frontal attacks called "meat storms", as commander of the Russian Land Army. According to experts, shuffling in command can attest to preparations of the Russian army for the summertime offensive against Ukraine.
