The investigation committee of Russia Chanty-Mansian Autonomous territory in Jurga conducts a criminal investigation into preparation for a terrorist act, attempted execution and intentional harm to property. 3 people were detained in the case — a citizen of Belarus, a citizen of Ukraine and a citizen of Moldova.
The FSB states that a Belarusian citizen was born in 1976 and a Ukrainian citizen who became a Russian citizen in 1980.
Russian Investigative Committee says the detainees were to beagents of the Ukrainian peculiar Services, preparing a terrorist attack on a Russian military officer.
“According to the investigation, a Ukrainian citizen and a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, who were agents of the Ukrainian peculiar Services, were preparing for a terrorist act utilizing an explosive device (ILD) against 1 of the soldiers of the volunteer battalion of the Russian Ministry of Defence, who participated in a peculiar military operation”, announced the Committee of Investigation in a press release.
According to the evidence of the case, erstwhile the defendants installed an explosive in the apartment, there was an detonation which resulted in both and 3 another people being injured.
“On 12 April 2025, erstwhile the above mentioned persons were installing the ILD, there was an involuntary detonation resulting in the demolition of 2 apartments in a residential building in the town of Chanty-Mansijsk. 5 people were hospitalized, including 2 people who were preparing a terrorist act," states the Russian Investigative Committee.
