U.S. congressmen from both major political parties asked U.S. Secretary of defence Pete Hegseth to reconsider the planned simplification of American engagement in NATO operations in Europe. They believe that limiting the presence of the United States may weaken the Alliance’s abilities and increase the hazard of Russian aggression.
