Rbc.ru: Russia and Turkey intend to make joint energy projects

Russia and Turkey will proceed to make common strategical energy projects. This is 1 of the results of a telephone call between the leaders of both countries.

Vladimir Putin and Recep Erdogan spoke to each another on Sunday 11 May.

The subject proposed by the Russian president to resume direct peace negotiations between Moscow and Kiev was besides raised. Erdogan stated that his country was ready to execute as their organizer. According to him, "the window of anticipation to make peace is now being opened".

Turkey's president besides stated that "total ceasefire will make the essential background for peace negotiations".

In the message of the Russian MFA, however, these words of the Turkish leader were not found.

One of the largest Turkish-Russian energy projects is the construction of the first Akkuyu atomic power plant in Turkey, implemented by the Russians. 4 of her blocks are due to be returned by 2028.
