Ratko Mladić, the erstwhile commander of the Bosnian Serb army and 1 of the most prominent figures of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, died on August 27 in The Hague. He was 84 years old. Mladić was serving a life conviction for genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes.
