The study indicated that in our part of the continent there was no modern infrastructure, technology and strategy for arms production. Despite evidence investments, the region of Central Europe is inactive facing serious barriers that limit the real increase in military potential. The most crucial of these are the chronic underfinancing of the arms industry, the deficiency of production scale and limited access to their own technologies. "For decades the countries of the region have benefited from +dividends of peace+ and reduced defence spending. Now we must not only catch up, but besides make a competitive safety strategy practically from scratch" - stressed Mariusz Ustyjańczuk from the defence sector of Deloitte in Central Europe.
