Spike guided missiles are 1 of the best known products of the Israeli concern Rafael, and at the same time 1 of the types of weapons commonly utilized in NATO countries. A common feature of all Spike missiles is optoelectronic guidance (thermographic and tv cameras), independent of GPS. The most severe Spike NROS missiles, with a scope of up to 32 km, and in the fresh version – up to 50 km, usage optoelectronic guidance in cooperation with the radio data link. On the another hand, lighter Spike-LR/LR2 and Spike-ER/ER2 with a scope of 5,5 and 10 km respectively combine optoelectronic guidance with fiber-direction, with an optional additional radio connection expanding the scope to 10 and 16 km, and the lightest, fired from the Spike SR arm, with a scope of 2 km, lead straight to the target.
