Dear Mr President,
We compose to you with an appeal to meet Polish rainbow families, or couples of the same sex who rise children together. They request security, respect and dignity, which the Polish state inactive does not provide. We know many specified families, and we are ready to arrange a gathering with them in the coming week (12-16 May) at the seat of the Love Association It does not exclude you in the center of Warsaw, so that before the first circular of elections you can reflect on whether it is worth sharing for the worse and better those people you seek.
On 8 May, you met with Krzysztof Stanowski. In the course of the conversation, there was a "brake push" on LGBT+ rights, and you both agreed that this is the brake on the right to adopt children by same-sex couples. We did not take this with surprise, due to the fact that you had already made your objection to this matter. However, this was 5 years ago, during the erstwhile presidential campaign. During this time, Poland, which you want to be President, has changed powerfully – the fresh government has started work on the Law on Partnerships, and Minister of Equality has fought to include the right to adopt children of a partner or partner. The society all year is increasingly beginning up to LGBT+ people, and homophobic and transphobic attacks launched by the Law and Justice have ceased to be vulnerable. From 2020 to 2025, more than 10 countries of the planet have introduced marital equality, which, of course, includes parental rights — a full of 39 today. 1 could hope that erstwhile appearing regularly at the Warsaw Parade of Equality as the president of the capital, you besides had time to change your head about the rights of rainbow families. We compose this letter not only as an organization working for the equality of LGBT+ people, but besides as a representation of the emotions of our community. Children waiting for adoption do not request to be protected from LGBT+ people, only from loneliness. all year there are more in Poland than possible parents. As a self-government and president of Warsaw, you should be aware of this.
However, the starting point for discussing LGBT+ parenting is not the adoption from the state care system, but the interior adoption. This is very crucial due to the fact that children raised by a biological parent and a same-sex partner live in a completely disorderly legal situation. We emphasize that these families are already in Poland and request solutions to guarantee their safety for yesterday. Politicians, including the Lord, must face reality and make a decision: either they believe that specified families should be forced to break up due to the fact that LGBT+ people should not rise children, or they should be given the chance to stabilise the legal situation. Everything else will be a shrug over the burning problem of thousands of families. We already know that the government's Law on Partnerships will not solve this problem, due to the fact that the shrugging politicians of the Polish People's organization forced the Minister of Equality to remove the anticipation of interior adoption from the project.
We anticipate politicians taking on the banner of the slogan on democracy, common respect and equal treatment of all citizens to cease to justice what LGBT people deserve and do not deserve, according to their own sense of aesthetics and comfort, and to perceive carefully to what the community needs. Candidates for the office of the president of the Republic of Poland who do not want to end discrimination against LGBT+ people, but only to reduce the scale of this process, must number on our community to consider voting on them as choosing little evil.
