As we wrote on Temat.pl, the leader of North Korea besides admitted to signing an agreement with Putin and sending his troops to Russia. KCNA's authoritative agency reported that North Korean soldiers are to aid "liberate Ukrainian-controlled areas in the Russian Kursk Oblast".
Kim Jong Un besides paid tribute to North Korean soldiers fighting in Russia. "Those who fought for justice are heroes and represent the honour of their homeland" – quotes the words of Korean leader "The Guardian". North Korean authorities besides announced the construction of a monument in Pyongyang, commemorating their soldiers' "war deeds" and peculiar support for veteran families.
This is the first specified authoritative message. So far both sides, both Pyongyang and Moscow have been silent about joint military actions. Armed actions in Ukraine involving Korean soldiers are conducted under a "wide-ranging strategical partnership" agreement, which was signed by Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin in 2024.

Russia claims that the forces supported by North Korea drove the Ukrainians out of their last controlled areas in the Kursk Oblast. The Ukrainian side denies this, informing us that their troops are inactive active, mainly in the region of Belarus. Kiev estimates that about 14,000 North Korean soldiers were sent to Russia.
