"With concern for the appropriate fulfilment of the constitutional responsibilities of the KRRiT threatened by the actions of the ruling coalition in the Polish Parliament, the members of the Council dismissed Maciej Świrski by a statutory majority of 4 votes from the position of president of the KRRiT".

The Communication states that Agnieszka Glapiak was elected president by a four-vote majority. Her replacement was named Hanna Karp. In this case, 4 votes in favour besides prevailed. The message was signed by Agnieszka Glapiak, Hanna Karp, Tadeusz Kowalski and Marzena Paczuska.

Shortly after publication of the appeal decision, Maciej Świrski issued a statement. In his opinion, the sitting at which he was dismissed was illegal

"Your gathering has no legal basis due to the fact that only the president can convene and resume the gathering after the break," he said.

"The Constitutional Tribunal ruled that the Act on the Court of State was unconstitutional, and therefore, which is besides stated by the Constitutional Court in a statement, the vote in the Sejm on the appointment of the president to the Court of State of 25 July this year does not have any legal effects" – we read further.

The erstwhile president believes that inviting him to a gathering which he felt had been called against the Rules of Procedure was an effort to "justify this action".

Maciej Świrski believes that "the message of the majority of the Council in favour of the designation of the Sejm's unlawful actions and designation of the vote on the appointment of the president to the Court of State as valid is the designation of the unlawful action of the ruling coalition in the form of the non-recognition of the Constitutional Court and of the remaining unlawful actions of the Tusk Government, as well as of the remaining parliamentary majority".

In conclusion, Świrski stressed: "KRRiT as the State's control body is required to comply and apply the law, and thus besides to recognise Constitutional Court decisions".

Let us remind that on Friday the Sejm voted on the motion to bring Maciej Świrski to the Court of State. He himself does not recognise this decision and then announced that the KRRiT would proceed to work in its present form. You can read more about this here.
