The Omsktransmash plant upgraded another batch [classes T-80B and T-80BW](https://defence24.pl/power-arms/t-80-con-work-Russian-armies) to the latest [standard T-80BWM model 2023)(https://defence24.pl/industrial/Russian-receive-new-variant-t-80bwm). These vehicles have, among another things, armour reinforced with Relikt reactive armour explosive modules, although smaller modules of the older armor kind Contact-1 are installed to supplement certain surfaces of these vehicles. In addition, [the tower ceiling is protected by a roof](https://defence24.pl/technologie/po-co-czolgom-additional-dot-analysis) (also with built-in reactive armor modules) and mesh screens.
