Two Ukrainian citizens, suspected of killing Litwin, will spend the next 2 months in custody. The decision was taken by the Industrial territory Court. Men were sought on the basis of a European arrest warrant.
Decision of the court and the circumstances of detention
On Tuesday, the spokesperson for the Industrial territory Prosecutor's Office, Marta Pętkowska, informed of the imposition of an interim 60-day detention on 2 Ukrainian citizens. The investigation into the execution of Litwin is conducted by an industrial prosecutor who does not uncover the details of the proceedings.
– For the sake of the investigation – said PAP Prosecutor Pętkowska.
So far it is known that men were detained on April 3rd in Przemyśl and Krakow. 2 weeks earlier, the Regional lawyer in Finland issued a European arrest warrant for them.
Suspects and background
– Males are suspected of being deprived of the life of a Lithuanian citizen, which occurred in 2025 in Finland – said Prosecutor of Pętkowska in the communication.
The case raises large interest due to the global nature of the investigation and the fact that suspects were detained in Poland.
Summary
The decision of the court on temporary detention will let for further investigation and possible prosecution. The prosecution shall not regulation out that fresh details will be disclosed as the case develops.
