"People were murdered with ax, pitchforks, and babies were taken by the legs and heads smashed against the walls". On 23 April 1943, on Good Friday, Janowa Dolina in Volyn flowed blood from about 600 Poles, becoming the site of 1 of the cruelest crimes of planet War II. The Ukrainian Pows dances Army (UPA) together with local peasants made a brutal attack on Polish residents of this working settlement, and the accounts of those who survived inactive give goose bumps.
