Reserved promotion concerns the market, not nationality

April 22 X user posted photograph of 2 leaflets with discount codes of popular clothing network. Advertising in 2 language versions – Polish and Ukrainian – differed in the amount of discount. This has led to allegations of unequal treatment of buyers on grounds of nationality. We asked for an explanation of the situation to the media department of LPP, the owner of the Reserved company. In the article we print an answer.

Two discount codes

The user's post p0linek on the X portal gained very advanced popularity, gaining almost 600,000 views. first leaflet photograph origin from the group “note food from Ukraine” on Facebook, where the vast majority of anti-Ukrainian content is published. The author of the first entry informs that in packages received from the store he found 2 discount coupons with different discounts. The leaflet in Polish contained a 10% discount code, while the Ukrainian included a 15% discount. As the buyer himself notes, the codes had different country designations. Eventually, the discounts from the Ukrainian leaflet could not be used.

Explanations Reserved

We asked the press department of LPP, the owner of the Reserved brand, to explain. We asked what resulted in different promotions for both language versions. Below we print a full answer. It follows that the Ukrainian version of the leaflet is intended for the Ukrainian marketplace and found itself in the package by accident due to the mistake of the individual packing the package.

Summary

According to the LPP Group Press Department, clothing brands belonging to the company operate in nearly 40 countries. The company applies a differentiated pricing and promotion policy adapted to the marketplace conditions. On the another hand, the leaflet itself in the Ukrainian language version informing about the bigger robbery was included in the package of the Polish buyer by mistake. Moreover, the Ukrainian discount code cannot be utilized in Poland as it restricts this anticipation online store and the shipping strategy itself. There is so no national discrimination or peculiar treatment of Ukrainians in Poland.
