The prosecution has submitted a revised motion to waive the immunity of Antoni Macerewicz. The document, which has so far been classified, is now classified only, so that Members can examine it.
The motion to waive the immunity of Antoni Macierewicz was submitted to the Sejm by lawyer General Adam Bodnar. The allegations concern the disclosure of classified information, while the first version of the application was not available to most Members.
“The prosecutors presented a message of reasons that could be presented under the “secret” clause,” explained the Advocate General Anna Adamiak in an interview with PAP.
Macierewicz may have problems
Adam Bodnar explained that Macerewicz revealed classified information as president of the Smolensk Subcommittee. He added that the investigation squad is conducting 7 investigations, including on the disclosure of classified information or incorrect processing of materials.
The Smolensk Subcommittee was appointed in 2016, just after the current government took power. The request for waiver of immunity is the consequence of the investigation squad 4 which examined the activities of the subcommittee.
