Prok. Anna Adamiak, Press Secretary of the lawyer General, said on Wednesday that "in the ongoing procedure of recognizing protests against the validity of elections for the president of the Republic of Poland, the ultimate Court has so far handed over 321 protests to the lawyer General".
"In response, the lawyer General submitted 268 positions on these protests," said the spokesperson.
Almost 1,500 commissions. The lawyer General wants to see the ballots.
Among the posts presented on Wednesday, lawyer General Adam Bodnar referred to the electoral protests raised by Krzysztof Kontek and Joanna Staniszkis.
Prok. Adamiak explained that the protesters raised allegations against the validity of the President's election, based on a technological analysis which, in their opinion, points to the existence of 4 categories of election anomalies:
excessive support for 1 of the candidates,
an unnatural increase in the number of votes between the parties,
reverse the consequence against local trends,
an incredible drop in the number of votes per candidate.
"The protesters pointed out that among the regional committees they indicated, in which the votes were to be counted, there were besides those against which the ultimate Court ordered a recalculation of the votes," we read.
"Protests brought by Krzysztof Kontek and Joanna Staniszkis were formally recognized by the ultimate Court as electoral protests" – indicated in the press release.
As added, "The lawyer General considered the part of the charges contained in the protests to be justified and affecting the result of the elections – as regards the incorrect determination of the results of the vote by the Peripheral Election Commissions in Krakow, Oleśnie, Minsk Mazowiecki, Strzelce Opolskich, Grudziądz, Gdańsk, Kamienna Góra, Bielsko-Biala and Mysiadle".
Given the content of the allegations contained in the protests and the arguments accompanying them, The lawyer General made requests for the examination of ballots in 1472 regional electoral commissions in both positions relating to these protests.
Moreover, the ultimate Court has already set a date for an open sitting on which a resolution on the validity of the presidential elections held on 18 May and 1 June will be adopted. The proceeding will take place on 1 July at 13 am in area A.
