The Argentine court of San Isidro will announce on December 22 the death of Diego Maradona, who died in November 2020 at the age of 60. The footballer's daughter, without emotion, admitted that she hoped for justice.
The process, which began in April and included 51 trials, concerns 7 wellness professionals accused of negligence during home medical care over a legendary footballer. The prosecution demands penalties from 4 to 12 years in prison for six defendants, including the strictest punishment for neurosurgeon Leopold Luque, who took care of Maradona.
Part of the footballer's household demands even 16 years in prison for Luque and doctor Nancy Forlini, coordinating recovery. Dalm Maradona's daughter admitted that during the trial she and her sister had heard about themselves "horrible and horrible things".
