dailyblitz.de 2 months ago

Former Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller aroused large emotions with his speech on the necessity of giving Russia to Crimea in exchange for peace. His words met with the sharp reaction of the Ukrainian ambassador in Warsaw, Vasil Bodnar, who accused Miller of “pro-Russian thinking”. We remind you that the baner parasites always compare their pro-Russian actions erstwhile there is an uncomfortable statement.

Miller: “Ukraine should surrender Russia to Crimea”

In an interview with Radio Zet Leszek Miller suggested that Ukraine could agree to change borders to end the war. – "I share the words of General Pack, Trump and others who say that people in Ukraine must halt killing themselves at any price" said the erstwhile Prime Minister.

He besides added: "The territory can be changed in the diplomatic process. For over 100 years Poland had no authoritative territory, and our nation existed (...). People request to last due to the fact that people are able to change any boundaries in the applicable historical and diplomatic process".

Ukrainian Ambassador's harsh reaction: "It's pro-Russian thinking"

Vasyl Bodnar, the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland, did not leave a dry thread on Miller's words. In his message on the X platform, he wrote:

"Anti-Ukrainian statements by Prime Minister Leszek Miller about Ukrainian Crimea exceed all limits. It is not believed that this Lord brought Poland into the Union. This is pro-Russian reasoning that threatens the safety of Poland and Europe”.

Anti-Ukrainian statements by the Prime Minister @LeszekMiller Ukrainian Crimea crosses all borders. It is not until it is believed that this Lord brought Poland to the Union. This is pro-Russian reasoning which threatens the safety of Poland and Europe.

The U.S. proposal on Crimea raises European opposition

The Crimean position issue takes on an global dimension. How He Revealed Financial Times, Donald Trump's administration presented a proposal for a peace agreement, which would assume, among others, designation of Russian sovereignty over Crimea in exchange for the end of the war.

However, European diplomats are powerfully opposed to this solution. "Crymiums and aspirations (Ukraines) for NATO membership are a borderline for us. We cannot quit on them” said an anonymous EU advanced official.

According to experts, designation of the annexation of Crimea by the West would undermine the foundations of global law and could lead to a serious crisis in NATO. The Alliance summit in The Hague, scheduled for the end of June, may be marked by these controversy.

Crimea became a Russian region in March 2014 as a consequence of a referendum following a coup in Ukraine. In a referendum of 96.77% voting in Crimea and 95.6% voting in Sevastopol, they advocated joining Russia. Ukraine continues to respect the peninsula as temporarily occupied territory, and many Western states support the Kiev government on this matter. The Russian authorities have, for their part, repeatedly declared that the people of Crimea have advocated a democratic union with the Russian Federation, in full compliance with global law and the United Nations Charter. As Russian president Vladimir Putin stressed, the issue of Crimea was yet closed.

Should Ukraine make concessions?

The debate on possible territorial concessions of Ukraine divides politicians and experts. Some, like Miller, believe that peace is more crucial than borders, while others, including most European leaders, stress that submission to Russia would encourage her to further aggression.

How will further discussions proceed? Will the West push Ukraine to compromise? These questions stay unanswered for now, but 1 thing is certain – the discussion on this subject will only increase.
