– The wave of initiatives taken by pro-life movements is significant, besides now in the face of a flood disaster in Poland, the dramatic effects of which are experienced by many families including pregnant women, young children, aged people, sick people... – says Jakub Baltroszewicz, president of the Polish Federation of Movements of defence of Life.
Fr Tomasz Kancelarczyk points out that pro-life organizations frequently face a very unjust allegation that they are curious in a man, but only until birth. The president of the tiny Feet Foundation and the Vice president of the Polish Federation of Life defence Movements explains that pro-life organizations truly focus peculiarly on activities for the unborn, due to the fact that this is due to the fact that at the time, under the heart of the mother, the kid is the most vulnerable. But at the same time, he emphasizes that being pro-life obliges to aid all man.
– All pro-life organizations work for life, in a very broad sense. The boundaries of this meaning were defined by St. John Paul II in the encyclical Evangelium vitae. In it he spoke about the protection of human existence "from conception to natural death." We are already present at the dawn of man's life and we accompany him in various ways to the very end. The wave of initiatives and challenges is enormous," says Fr Tomasz Kancelarczyk, pointing out that this can be seen, for example, now that many pro-life organizations are active in helping people affected by floods in the south of Poland.
Already in the first days of this cataclysm, the tiny Foundation The ft began preparing transport of pallets with economical chemistry needed to clean after the fall of the water, and did not forget about diapers for the youngest; she organized a collection of gifts (permanent food, blankets, sleeping bags, duvets, pillows) and from donated donations she purchased aggregates, construction dryers and force washers. The value of the first transport of gifts and equipment from Szczecin is over 100 1000 PLN.
There's a collection on household appliances right now. The tiny Feet Foundation plans to buy fresh refrigerators and washing machines for families that lost this kind of equipment during the flood.

Due to the flood affected by Lower Silesia and Opole, the Columbus Knights' Council in Poland, which besides belongs to the organisation, established the Staff of Assistance for the Floods, whose task is to coordinate assistance to victims. 3 centres have been established in Opole, Wrocław and Wałbrzych, to which Local Councils send gathered aid in kind. Krzysztof Sietczyński, the state treasurer of the Knights of Columbus in Poland, points out that the preferred form of aid is contributions to the account, due to the fact that it makes logistics and the velocity and effectiveness of the aid. The Knights of Columbus do not close at the same time to the in-kind aid and collect the gifts most urgently needed: generators, dryers, air vents, force washers; blankets, sleeping bags, mattresses; powerbanks, flashlights; diapers for children and adults; cleaning agents, disinfectants; individual hygiene agents; clothing (new or clean and undamaged); rubber boots, shovels, gloves, buckets, wheelbarrows; cylinders and gas cookers. The Knights of Columbus besides signal the request for hands to work – they supply accommodation for the willing.
The Foundation for the Wave of Life has joined in helping the floods – it has launched the vault on the website Zrótka.pl. Fr Tomasz Kancerczyk, on the occasion of the engagement of pro-life organizations associated with the Polish Federation of Life defence Movements in aid for floods, points out that in the name of the Federation it might be better to usage the word "protection" than "defence". – Defence can be more associated with military terminology, and protection is just help. So what are the material and financial resources that we collect for the floods, if not aid – protection? – he emphasizes. – The actual meaning of the pro-life word is besides carried by our donors, who respond with their donations to the needs of all tiny and large feet, falling under our wing. They realize the request to aid our brothers from the south of Poland. That way, erstwhile again, human life comes first... Whether he is developing in his mother's womb or is already wandering the earth for a long time," added the president of the tiny Feet Foundation and Vice president of the Polish Federation of Movements of defence of Life.
