Ukraine freed 246 Russian soldiers, in return they were given 246 Ukrainian POWs – informed the Russian Ministry of Defence on social media.

The exchange was to take place in ‘formule 246 for 246’ via the United arabian Emirates.

"They provided mediation and the essential humanitarian aid at the return of Russian troops from captivity," says the Russian MON's Communication.

The Kremlin’s message states that ‘as a goodwill motion in exchange for 15 injured Russian soldiers in request of urgent medical care were transferred to Ukraine 31 injured POWs’.

As we read in the Russian page, the liberated Russian soldiers are now to be in Belarus.

‘It is granted to them necessary intellectual and medical assistance, and they besides have the chance to contact their loved ones" - emphasised the Russian Ministry of Defence.

According to officials, soldiers will be transported to Russia for treatment.
