Nearly 4.7 million children started a fresh school year today. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attended ceremonies at the Primary School in Rokicin. Students are the future of Poland, so we supply them with support through many programs. Our aim is to make competences among students, which will enable them to function efficiently in a dynamically developing world. We prepare specialists for the needs of the modern economy – thus supporting the improvement of our country. We care about the physical and intellectual wellness of our students. We are aware of the importance of supporting children and young people, which is why we employment more and more psychologists.

The children returned to class after the longest vacation. School is not only science, but besides fresh friendships and friendships. Meeting with young people and teachers was an chance to want for another year of fruitful work.
– School is not about filling a bucket, it's about lighting a flame. This is what I want for children, young people and teachers, so that in your beloved subjects, students can light this flame – a flame of passion, commitment, love for homeland, patriotism, love for discipline – said the Prime Minister.
We strive to guarantee the best possible conditions for learning, so that returning to the school bench is simply a pleasance and a welcome moment. To this end we carry out programs, finance equipment and employment fresh staff – all for the youngest and their teachers.
The wellness of students is simply a precedence of our government
We guarantee that children and young people feel comfortable and safe in school. The physical and intellectual wellness of the students is our priority. We implement programs aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and physical activity.
We know how It is crucial to supply professional intellectual and pedagogical support. This is why we increase the number of jobs for specialists in schools and kindergartens. In 2022 it was about 22,000 jobs, now it is about 42.6 thousand. We have already allocated PLN 2.4 billion to hire specialists, peculiar educators, psychologists and additional classes for students.
– We would like everyone to be able to deal with their problems perfectly on their own, but we realize how crucial intellectual assistance is these days. Therefore, almost all school was provided with a scientist or peculiar educator. This is besides a immense support for children and young people," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Development of Polish education through government programs
Children are the future of Poland. We are successfully expanding resources for education. There has never been as much increase in quota and percent subsidies as in fresh years. In 2023 we allocated PLN 64.4 billion to education, and in 2024 the amount of PLN 76.6 billion is planned. In addition, in fresh years we have donated over PLN 10 billion to modernise Polish schools.
We're betting on the improvement of education. Our goal is to make competences among students that will let them to function efficiently in a dynamically developing world. For this intent we have introduced, among others:
- Future laboratories – which will shortly gain access to state-of-the-art professional software and advanced computing power,
- E – Educational material – In 2019 we made the Integrated Educational Platform (ZPE) available. It contains more than 30,000 resources, including over 12,000 interactive e-materials, 100 curricula and 3,000 lesson scenarios. The catalog is constantly enlarged,
- National Education Network – It means not only fast, but besides safe internet,
- Active Program Table – this backing for the acquisition of equipment, teaching aids and tools for treatment for children with peculiar educational needs,
- Project “Remote School” and “Remote School+” – it means the acquisition of laptops, tablets and net access for students,
- Government sports program Club – it is direct support for tiny and average sports environments. Nearly 6,000 sports clubs received backing to train more than 314 1000 children and youth.
– We effort to support children in their sports activity, in all possible dimensions. This support for respective 1000 physical education teachers, which has caused extracurricular activities – besides vacation – to be richer in the offer of various sports disciplines, said the head of the Polish government.
Modernisation of Polish schools
Thanks to the sealing of the Polish budget we can take care not only of teaching, but besides of building fresh schools, kindergartens or nursery schools. In order to guarantee the right conditions for children, we have introduced among others:
- Government strategical Investment Fund – it provides funding, among others, for the modernisation of schools or the construction of school fields,
- Government Local Investment Fund – Local governments could usage these funds for essential investments, including educational ones.
The base school in Rokiciny gained funds to build a fresh sports hall. This large investment was possible thanks to the Government strategical Investment Fund. The sports hall is simply a modern facility that meets all safety standards.
– To make school life as complete as possible, it is crucial that there are appropriate conditions for this. Therefore, I am glad that in the school in Rokiciny, but besides in many another schools we can start this school year – after the investments of the last years, specified as this beautiful investment, which can be the pride of the municipality, but besides the pride of parents and students in the first place – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
