The Podopolska municipality of Dobrzeń Wielki seems to be the perfect place to conduct primaries before the local government vote. All you gotta do is convince the locals to do it.
This included a Saturday gathering arranged in Opole by Polish citizens as part of the “Democracy from now on”.
Let us remind you: it was in the large Good that the ruling squad conducted an operation in the summer, which could have been a test before power pacified independent local communities across the country.
This is simply a well-developed municipality – thanks, among others, to taxes from Opole power plant located on its site – it was administratively divided. The part where a profitable power plant is located was incorporated into Opole and the remainder was de facto sentenced to collapse.
The protests of the inhabitants – with hunger strike of respective people (from different backgrounds: local civilian associations, German number to organization Together) did not help. The Ombudsman's mediation and intervention did not help. The legal way was blocked by manipulations of the body composition, which at 1 time replaced the Constitutional Court in the State. The stakes for power were so advanced that the prime minister at the time did not even have time to meet with the local bishop trying to compromise!
According to the same mechanism, a money jump was made and the autonomy of respective another urban communities was made.
The propaganda mechanics was tried on the occasion: in ether, there were suggestions that "Polish money" would take over the "German minority" so far. More: the opposing residents were under surveillance and intimidated, and any are called for interrogations (the allegations active a violation of the alleged home miru supporting Partyk's "jump" deputy minister of justice by... entering his parliamentary office, disturbing peace or causing mischief in a public place).
Paweł Kasprzak and Tadeusz Jakrzewski one more time explained the assumptions and details of the thought with the primaries. Kasprzak argued, among others, that by organising even in respective places in the country the local government primary can accomplish various results. Most importantly, show that bottom-up civic activity can be effective and besides in the alleged area. Secondly, prove to political parties (though left-wing) that there is area for different values and views in the democratic movement. Finally, show the multitudes of indifferent or disheartened to politics (especially politicians and parties) that there are values in public life for which citizens can fight in their own interests.
For example, the leaders of the Polish Citizens called Italian, where primaries influenced not only better attendances in the right vote, but besides in 2005 allowed the citizen coalition L’union to defeat Silvio Berlusconi himself.
Significant at the same time, that the gathering was only curious in sympathizers – often, as they themselves said, “strange” – social movements (the Association for the Defence of Self-government “On Your” from the Goodness of the Great, the Movement of Silesian Autonomy, the National Women's Strike and CODE). On the another hand, neither representatives of political parties, whether from parliamentary or non-parliamentary opposition, nor presently acting as self-governments, were concerned.
