Prigozine diagnosis: Russia will not win this war

I would very much like Mr Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary, who is inactive convinced that Russia cannot be defeated, to read Prigożyn's interview

Both Russia, Ukraine and our country discusses the conversation of the head of PKW “Wagnera” Evgeny Prigożyn with the Russian propagandaist Dolgow. This interview was cited and analysed in various meanings and contexts. This, of course, is very interesting and informative, both politically and psychologically.

I'm taking this interview as a diagnosis, and it's in a fewer systems at once.

The Primogyn actually recognized the failure of the alleged SWO for 2 main purposes announced publically by Putin on 24 February last year – denazification and demilitarisation of Ukraine. Moreover, he besides recognized precisely the other consequence of this "SVO". Here are direct quotes: "We have made Ukraine a world-famous nation." ... "When it comes to demilitarisation: if at the beginning of the peculiar operation they had conditionally 500 tanks, now they have 5,000 tanks, if 20,000 people could fight, now they have 400,000. What do you mean we demilitarized it? It is the opposite.”

It is much more crucial that the Primogyn indeed felt that this war between Russia and Ukraine was only for the Ukrainians and unfair and invasive for Russia. This is easy to read from the evaluations and epithets of both countries. Direct quotes: “What have we done? We arrived rudely, we walked in boots all over the territory in search of Nazis. erstwhile we were looking for Nazis, we cheated everyone we could." ... "We arranged this fight". ... "All that we have already captured is ours, and all that we have not captured is not ours." ... "To the Ukrainians - everything goes in the name of achieving an overarching goal, as we do for the large Patriotic War".

Another diagnosis of Prigozhyn – Russia of this war will not win: "There are optimistic and pessimistic scenarios. I don't believe in the first. Europe and America will be tired of the Ukrainian conflict. China will put everyone at the negotiating table. They'll agree that everything we've got is ours, and everything we haven't got is not ours. This script is unlikely’... ‘Pessimistic scenario: Ukrainians get rockets, prepare troops, of course they will proceed the offensive, effort to counterattack, possibly the counter-offensive will go somewhere, they will reconstruct borders by 2014 and this can happen peacefully. They will attack Crimea, effort to blow up the Crimean bridge, cut off supply routes.”

From the point of view of the diagnosis of moods in Russian society, the anti-elitarian pathos of the rhetoric of Prigożyna is very important. There is so much insult to the Russian elite and their descendants that I will not quote them. And it is surely not just the opinion of the Primogyn. It reflects and resonates with moods both on the front and among any people behind, especially the alleged "war party". Although any of the commentators in Cremolov have already enrolled Prigozhyn in the "party of peace". I think it's cheating. He was and remains a man of war and a “soldier of fortune.” Based on the content of the interview, he respects Ukrainians, especially the Ukrainian army, as a strong and worthy opponent. But for him Ukraine is simply a situational opponent, as in sports. Since Putin started fighting Ukraine, you must fight with your people against others. But the main opponent of Prigozhina is the Russian elite. That's what he hates with all his soul. “ We are a full army. Why weren't we allowed in? This was due to the intrigues, for fear that if any structure grows, it can begin to dictate conditions and conditionally scope Moscow on tanks.” ... "This fork could end as in 1917 with a revolution, erstwhile soldiers first emergence and then their loved ones".

But with all of his aggressive anti-elitarian pathos, Prigozhyn sends signs of loyalty to Putin: "My political credo: I love my homeland, I obey Putin, I love the Shojg, we will fight further".

Paradoxic figure of Prigozhyn - loyal supporter Putin, who is already ready to fight interior enemies and transform Russia into North Korea (literally, he said so). But it seems that he truly wants to turn all Russia into a large PKW “ Wagner”. But where is Putin?

So there is simply a dilemma in front of the Primogyn – service Putin to the end, or yet replace Putin?

But even more so for Putin, is it “Prygozhina's dilemma” – whether to proceed utilizing a faithful dog of war (both in Ukraine and Africa, and intimidate their own elites) or, before it is besides late, neutralize it? And then he starts biting his own, and in the tide of rabies he can even scope Putin. The Prigojin is already carrying it, and who knows how far it can carry it.

Before 1917, Russia was ruled by “rasputinism”. But now the “prigina” begins. Both form and kind are seemingly very different phenomena. But they are actually akin due to the fact that they are a sign of the beginning of the Russian political government crisis, both then (more than a 100 years ago) and now.
