On 23 January 2025, president Donald Trump fulfilled his promise made during the presidential run and pardoned 23 prolifters. Biden's administration imprisoned them and held them in custody after charges brought by the Department of Justice. Persecution was possible thanks to the peculiar FACE Act, which allowed life defenders to be driven distant from abortion clinics.
Freedom and justice for all?
Trump's pardon of the proliferators reveals the scale of hypocrisy of the erstwhile power. Under the appearance of free access of patients to clinics, the FACE Act became just a whip to defend life.
US Department of Justice during the 4 years of Biden's office He managed to charge over 30 prolifters. (We wrote about it here.). The prosecution ignored the fact that at the same time there were hundreds of attacks on churchesas well as Pro-life centers. Serious incidents of physical aggression and arson have been reported. In these cases, the prosecution intervened only twice.
“Signing this is simply a large honor”
On the eve of the National March for Life in Washington, D.C., just after his oath, Donald Trump pardoned life defenders. Earlier, they were all unfairly accused by the Justice Department of Joe Biden's administration. The formal applicant for the pardon was the Chicago law firm Thomas More Society.Twenty-three people have been charged, they shouldn't be prosecuted. Many of them are aged — they should not be hunted. Signing this is simply a large honor. said Trump.
.@realDonaldTrump He pardoned 23 proliferators who protested abortion on the streets. Among them https://t.co/OxDWNyQLV7Fr Fidelis Moscinski and Bevelyn Williams, parent separated for months from a 2-year-old daughter.

For Thomas More Society we print pardoned names: Joan Bell, Coleman Boyd, Joel Curry, Jonathan Darnel, Eva Edl, Chester Gallagher, William Goodman, Dennis Green, Lauren Handy, Paulette Harlow, John Hinshaw, Heather Idoni, Jean Marshall, Fr Fidelis Moscinski, Justin Phillips, Paul Place, Paul Vaughn, Bevelyn Beatty Williams, Calvin Zastrow, Eva Zastrow, and James Zaprow. Consider 2 of them:
Bevelyn Williams – the parent of a 2 - year - old daughter sentenced to preach the Gospel

It's July 24, 2024. The Manhattan national Court sentences pro-life activist Bevelyn Williams to 3 years and 5 months in prison. Under FACE. The fact that a 33-year-old parent loses contact with a two-year-old daughter is of no importance to the court.
In the operative part of the judgment, we read that Williams was "interfering, including through threats and force, into those seeking and securing abortions." In fact, Williams convicted of preaching the Gospel before the abortion clinic. Witnesses confirm that if there was any kind of push, it was clearly provoked by 1 of the clinic staff.
I was persecuted as a Christian, a weapon.disorders their beliefs in matters of life– reads Williams' statement.
We mentioned the Williams case after her conviction (Here.).

— Kaja Godek (@GodekKajaU) January 24, 2025O. Fidelis Mosciński – almost a year in prison
Francistin, Father Fidelis Moscinski received his conviction 6 months in prison for obstructing the work of the Planned Parenthood Clinic in fresh York State in 2023. That's the maximum punishment that could be imposed for this act. On June 30 he was counted 90 days jail for a separate case concerning a protest at another abortion clinic in Long Island.

54-year-old father of Mosciński, a resident of the monastery of Our woman of Angels in the Bronx, actively participated in protests organized by Red Rose Rescue, known among others from red roses women going to abortion offices.
One of the participants of the proceeding mentions that the justice treated Father Fidelis Like a common repeater. He stated that Moscinski had a "criminal past", so the court had to apply "responsive measures" to him. The slaughter of innocent human life was completely silenced by the court.

The pardoning of proliferators is simply a return to the American Constitution
The U.S. Constitution is very precise about freedom of speech. Adopted in 1791, the first amendment to the Constitution reads:
Congress will not establish laws introducing religion or prohibiting the free exercise of spiritual practices; nor laws restricting freedom of speech or the press, or violating the right to peaceful gatherings and petition the government to repair wrongs.
Trump was illegible about prolife during the election campaign. It happened to oscillate closer to the political center. Sometimes he seemed vague. However, in 2023 he promised that if he wins, he would appoint a commission “which would rapidly consider the cases of any political prisoner wrongfully persecuted by the Biden administration”. Moreover, "never again will the national government be utilized to attack believers". He kept his word so far.
May besides our politicians, especially those who admit to right-wing and conservative values, yet realize that it is not worth to stand apart between life and death. Eventually, no Herod sacrificing innocent lives in the conflict for the throne deserves to sit on that throne.
