"Today's attack requires a strong consequence from the state," stressed president Karol Nawrocki, commenting on Thursday's execution in Jarosław. The president expressed his condolences to his loved ones and the abbey community, and the wounded wished for his recovery.
The attack took place before noon in the territory of the Jarosław Abbey. A 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen stabbed 5 people – 4 men and a woman. 1 of the wounded, the priest, died. The another victims went to the hospital. The unsub was detained, and the D.A.'s office took care of the case. A mourning will be introduced in Jarosław by the end of the week.
The president called for a fast explanation of all the circumstances of the tragedy and stressed that the state should guarantee the safety of citizens.
I took with pain the news of the death of a priest who was the victim of a violent attack in the Jaroslaw Abbey. I offer my deepest sympathy to his close and full Abbey community. I want the injured victims of this attack a fast recovery.
