Iran's president Masud Pezeszkaan announced that the Tehran authorities had decided to limit military action against the countries of the region. As he reported in a Saturday speech for the Iranian media, the Provisional Leadership Council decided that Iran would not carry out further attacks on or launch missiles in their direction unless an attack on Iran was carried out from their territory.

During the speech, Pezeshkan besides referred to fresh events in the region, apologizing to neighbouring countries for the attacks that have occurred in fresh days. At the same time, he urged their authorities to refrain from engaging in military activities on the side of the United States and Israel.

— Do not let your countries become tools in the hands of Israel and the United States. All disputes and problems should be resolved through diplomacy," he said.

The Iranian president besides made an appeal to his own society. He called on citizens to put aside interior political disputes and to unite in the face of external threats.

— The Iranians should forget about interior divisions and stand together to defend the country. The surrender of Iran is simply a dream that will never come true,” he stressed.

Pešekhan besides noted that Tehran is ready to cooperate with the countries of the region to strengthen safety in the mediate East. As he stated, Iran "stretches its hand to its neighbours" and hopes for dialog and joint stabilisation efforts.

Meanwhile, a different speech flows from Washington. United States president Donald Trump stated on Friday that the only acceptable form of agreement with Iran is “unconditional surrender”. He besides added that the future leader of Iran should be acceptable to the United States.

"There will be no deal with Iran but unconditional surrender. Only after this, and after choosing a wonderful and acceptable leader, we and our courageous allies and partners will work to bring Iran out of the brink of demolition and make it economically stronger than always before," Trump wrote on social media.

This is not the first message by the American president suggesting that Washington would like to influence the choice of future leadership in Tehran. In his fresh comments, Trump besides reiterated that the regime's change in Iran is 1 of the objectives of the current war — which runs counter to the earlier declarations of part of the American administration, including the Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, who stressed that the US's actions were not intended to overthrow the authorities in Tehran.
