Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a fresh medium-range hypersonic weapon called Oresznik, which has the ability to carry both conventional and atomic warheads. Moscow plans to deploy missiles in Belarus before the end of 2025. Last autumn Putin and Lukashenko signed a treaty giving Belarus "security guarantees", including the anticipation of utilizing Russian atomic weapons.
