Egypt planned to deliver artillery ammunition to the Russians?
The scandal caused by the leak of papers from the Pentagon is spreading. According to Wall Street diary journalists, there is simply a note among the papers presenting the account of the Egyptian president's conversation with his officials.
President Sisi was to talk about delivering 40,000 artillery missiles of 152mm caliber to Russia. It was expected to be a proof of Cairo's gratitude for the assistance Russia was going to give Egypt. However, the conversation did not uncover why president Sisi wanted to thank the Russians so much. The most popular explanation is that it was about paying for Russian or Ukrainian grain. I don't think so. possibly this is about paying for the contract for the modernization of the Egyptian railway, which Egypt signed in January with the Russian Transmascholding – while the note from the gathering of president Sisi dates from February.
