Runners in the upcoming South Korean presidential election Li Dze Mjung gave the incorrect date of birth. He most likely doesn't know precisely erstwhile he was born.
Korean media point out that the politician as the date of his birth indicated December 12, 1964. What is different is that his mother, who believes that she gave birth to him on December 7 or 8 – a year earlier, in 1964.
Why the Difference? Li Dze Mjung comes from a mediocre and multi-child family. He's the 5th child. Additionally, he was not registered immediately after birth by his parents, as these were times of advanced baby mortality. He didn't receive his birth certificate until he went to simple school.
For those supporting the candidacy, the policy of divergence around the date of his birth and their background is simply a symbol of the candidate's communication with average citizens.
