Post-election power arrangement in parliament
The Freedom organization (PVV) won 37 out of 150 seats in parliament. The second place was taken by the Alliance of the Labour organization (PvdA) and the Green Left (GL) with Frans Timmermans as a candidate for Prime Minister, who obtained 25 seats. The 3rd position included the centre-right People's organization for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) of the erstwhile Prime Minister Mark Rutte with 24 seats.
As the electoral threshold in the Netherlands is below 1%, a twelve groups have joined parliament, there has been a fragmented political scene. As far as political forces outside the podium are concerned, it is worth noting the fresh Social Agreement (NSC), which is headed by 1 of the most popular Dutch politicians – Pieter Omtzigt, this formation gained 20 mandates. The another parties shall have between 1 and 5 seats.
Anti-immigrant Programme
In social media, you can come across many comments favorable to Wilders from right-wing sympathizers. However, he was the 1 who launched the nationalist run against Poles. Migrants from our country were accused of theft, vandalism and drunkenness. Interestingly, Wilders is not attached to Christian values, he is not a typical conservative. His right-wingness boils down to the anti-immigrant program, which proved to be a language in importance in the fresh elections in the Netherlands.
Against Central and east Europe
The problem is that, unlike the Polish right in its anti-immigrant narrative, it is not limited to slapping thunder at visitors from Asia or Africa (Muslims, blacks, etc.). He is not only trying to win off racists, he wants to scope for even those voters who are disturbed by workers from Central and east Europe.
The PVV organization of Geert Wilders created an online service in February this year, which allows to study complaints and complaints about behaviour of commercial immigrants from Central and east Europe, including Poles. This website is intended to facilitate the publicisation of phenomena that have intensified in the Netherlands as a consequence of increased immigration: crime, alcoholism, drug abuse, and garbage dumping.
These Dutch utmost right-wingers believe that erstwhile people from the associate States of the European Union, including Poland, entered the Dutch labour marketplace in May 2007. They estimation that about 200-350 1000 paid immigrants went to their country. They say it's besides much.
The average Dutch had nothing against the Poles a decade ago
However, erstwhile the results of opinions on Poland and Poles commissioned by the Ministry of abroad Affairs were presented in The Hague a decade ago, it turned out that the Dutch accepted the anticipation of Poles coming to their country as tourists (89%), they were eager to establish friendships with our countrymen (76%), they had no problems with Polish neighbours (62%) and with colleagues who came to the Netherlands from the Vistula River (68%).
At the time, 73 percent of the Dutch surveyed claimed that Poles worked conscientiously and honestly. I wonder what it's like now that many people have succumbed to Wilders' anti-immigrant propaganda...
