According to the latest forecasts, diesel prices are approaching PLN 10. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announces the return of the CPN program, which assumes lower fuel prices. The government has adopted a bill introducing the alleged windfall taxation for fuel companies to supply backing for the program. From 1 September, drivers again pay a 23% VAT rate on fuel, which translated into a marked increase in prices at stations.
