They went to fight Poland in their hearts, with white and red bands on their hands. arrogant and courageous, they did not ask questions about the meaning of this heroic rally" – wrote Karol Nawrocka on platform X on the anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising.
Thus, the president-elect made it clear that there should be no uncertainty about the sense of the uprising: “The Warsaw Uprising was a heroic revolt of Poles who showed the planet that the Polish Underground State and the National Army were operating in the lands occupied by the Germans and Soviets – the legal Polish Army faithful to the Government of Poland in exile” – wrote Nawrocki – “Warsaw was to be liberated by Poles before the Red Army entered. It was about perjury, sovereignty, the right to decide their own fate."
The president-elect besides pointed out that the Warsaw Uprising was not directed solely against Germans: “It was not only a fight against the German occupier. It was besides a clear voice of opposition to Moscow's plans – against the imposed change of borders and the submission of Poland to the russian sphere of influence.
