Confederacy defeat in Kraków. Bocheńczak is out of the presidential election

The Municipal Election Commission announced the recalculation of the signed signatures to be submitted on Tuesday morning. However, there is small indication that additional verification can change the earlier decision. Bocheńczak himself has already reported on social media that his candidacy has not been registered.

We're out of crucial signatures. I'm not going to make conspiracy theories, look for guilty people, or pass work on to anyone. I thought that submitting almost 5,000 signatures would supply us with adequate safety margins. As it turned out, I was wrong. – Bocheńczak wrote on platform X.

The election committee has not yet announced a full list of candidates. president of the Municipal Electoral Commission Krzysztof Dyl informed the media that the signatures collected by 3 candidates were inactive being checked: Bartosz Bocheńczak, Daria Gosek-Popiołek from Left and Sławomir Pietrzyk from SDPL. Final decisions are to be taken on Tuesday.

However, after an earlier calculation of papers by officials, little than 3,000 crucial signatures of support for Bocheńczak were sent to the committee. It's an insufficient number to registry his candidacy.

The Confederacy had large hopes for him

The situation is peculiarly cumbersome for the Confederacy, as the group was powerfully active politically in Krakow.
