"Although Germany spends the most on defence in Western Europe ($88,5 billion in 2024), their real fighting capabilities are giving up France and the UK. Years of negligence have made the Bundeswehr inactive catching up, despite large purchases (F-35, Chinook helicopters) financed by the Sondervermögen fund. The future German government, with Chancellor Friedrich Merzem, announces further investments – EUR 500 billion over a decade. Germany has a strong arms manufacture and possible for development, but present they quit to allies, among others, in the navy and aviation. On land, they strengthen presence, for example through the brigade in Lithuania. In turn, Poland aims to make 1 of the strongest land armies in Europe by 2030.
