Polish-Ukrainian cooperation talks

National Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish paid a visit to Kiev. He stated that Poland and Ukraine will sign a cooperation agreement, including training in drone operations and the improvement of joint industrial initiatives. The head of the MON has plans to meet his counterpart in Ukraine, Denys Szmyhal.

As Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stressed, the usage of Ukrainian experience in improving the skills of Polish soldiers and developing the Centre for Analysis, Training and Education of NATO-Ukraine (JATEC) in Bydgoszcz. “It is the only institution that connects NATO and Ukraine in a tangible way,” said the head of the MON. "The implementation of the conclusions from the fresh battlefield is crucial for the transformation of the Polish Army and in general for the NATO transformation," he added.

During his visit to Kiev, the Minister of Defence will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Szmyhal. Politicians are to discuss military cooperation, support for defending Ukraine and safety situation in the region. The plans besides include the signing of a cooperation agreement between the 2 countries. – We will sign an agreement on cooperation between ministries, but besides gaining skills in operations drones. The talks will focus on the improvement of joint industrial initiatives. Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister paid tribute to Poles – victims of Katyń crime, buried in the Polish war cemetery in Byków close Kiev.
