The Polish-Palestinian household survived the genocide in the Gaza Strip, is stuck in Egypt and cannot fly to Poland. As a consequence of the Israeli bombings, they lost all their possessions.
The Ministry of abroad Affairs does not want to pay for their ticket to Poland and refuses to debt for a ticket for the parent of 2 young children who does not have Polish citizenship.
erstwhile again, the Polish Government fails the Gaza Polonia.
Therefore, we have established and supported a fundraising for the family, initiated by the Polish-Palestinian Initiative for Justice Cactus.

Amjad Agha came to Poland from the Gaza Strip in 1987, he completed 2 courses of survey here – food chemistry and management. He returned to Gaza in 2007 to aid an aged sick parent after his father died. A fewer years ago, he started a household in Gaza, his wife Alaa is Palestinian. They have 2 small children: a two-year-old girl Razan and a three-year-old boy Malik.
In mid-October, due to the Israeli bombing of the adjacent building, their home collapsed. The household was pulled out of the rubble, Razan barely survived the bombing, they were all injured. They've been surviving in a plastic shelter always since. Like the another residents of the Gaza Strip, they were cut off from electricity, food, clean water, bathroom, adequate medical care. They were inactive sick for 5 months. Children had severe diarrhoea for weeks.
In December, Amjad reported his household to evacuate the Gaza Strip. For the next 2 months, he asked the Consul in Tel Aviv (in charge of evacuation of Poles from Gaza) if there was any news about their departure. The Consul briefly replied that Israel did not give approval to leave. No 1 from the abroad Office asked what they were in, what was happening to them.
In February, Razan was found to be in acute malnutrition. Malik had anemia. The children were inactive feverish, hungry, cold, sick. Following the intervention at the Ministry of abroad Affairs, which was undertaken by a typical of the Polish-Palestinian Initiative for Justice of Cactus, the parent and children were allowed to leave. The MFA reported that Amjad would not receive Israeli approval to leave. The reason is unknown.
This is not the first situation in which Israel refused to let Polish citizens or their families to leave. The Polish MFA has never taken effective, decisive steps to exert force on the Israeli government to halt obstructing the evacuation of Poles and Poles. Although obstructing the evacuation of civilians, including the departure of foreigners, is 1 of the war crimes listed in the Polish penal code and in the Geneva Conventions. The Polish Ministry of abroad Affairs so agreed to have Israel illegally imprisoned Polish citizens, condemning them to all consequences of the collective punishment imposed on the Gaza Strip: hunger, thirst, deficiency of shelter, continuous bombing and deficiency of medical care.
In the first half of March, Alaa and her children reached Cairo. The Cactus initiative raised $5,000 to pay for obtaining approval to leave Gaza via the Egyptian travel agency Hala. Amjad reached Cairo on April 12. From that day on, the household dreams of reaching Poland as shortly as possible and starting a fresh life here.
Unfortunately, the consulate in Cairo, despite erstwhile promises, is not only not ready to cover the cost of purchasing their tickets to Poland, but besides does not want to grant a debt to acquisition a ticket for Mr Amżad's spouse, who does not have Polish citizenship. What's worse, you inactive don't know what kind of visa you're gonna get. Despite many inquiries from our representative, the MFA has not explained why it cannot issue a humanitarian visa.
We besides know that after coming to Poland, the household cannot number on any state aid. Evacuated from the Gaza Strip, they had to cope on their own, although the group of people in request of support is tiny – they are just a fewer families.
