"The WB Group is simply a kind of an evenement erstwhile it comes to companies not only in Europe but besides in the world.
We have our own capabilities of producing communication systems, radio systems, our own combat management systems, our own artificial intelligence that supports decision-making processes, but besides recognition. By combining all this with effectors, media, we make an ecosystem in which unmanned systems operate, which fly, swim and ride in various aspects – says Newseria Remigius Wilk, the communication manager of the WB Group.
The WB Group was created by the dynamic improvement of WB Electronics, operating since 1997.
Over the last 5 years WB Group's revenues have increased eightfold. Today, exports account for 1/3 of them. 20 high-tech companies, which are part of the group, focus primarily on innovations that are utilized not only in the Polish army but besides in abroad armed forces. For example, supplies to South Korea or the United States can prove this.
The WB Group was created by the dynamic improvement of WB Electronics, which has been operating since 1997 and as a consequence of the success of the export solutions. Today, it consists of 20 high-tech companies specialising in advanced defence and safety systems. The first projects supply full control of the production process – regardless of scale – by eliminating export restrictions and another improvement barriers.
The first breakthrough task WB Electronics was the FONET system
– We've been designing all strategy for a full-scale war always since. Now all our projects that erstwhile existed in the form of ideas, we turn into plastic, plastic and electronics. We have production opportunities – explains Remigius Wilk. Currently, the WB Group operates on respective twelve global markets, including US, South America, North Africa, India, Vietnam, and Malaysia. From a tiny start-up in 30 years it has evolved into a large group employing almost 2.5 1000 people, half of whom are engineers. The Group has a large investigation possible – it presently runs over 300 own improvement programmes.
The first breakthrough task of WB Electronics was the FONET strategy developed in 2001. This is simply a set of devices and their software that creates a unified database for the exchange of data between vehicles on the battlefield. The strategy integrates vehicle electronic equipment and controls wired and radio networks. licence for this communication platform has been sold to respective countries worldwide. The FONET strategy was utilized in 2018 to build command wagons on the KTO 8×8 ROSOMAK platform intended for the North East Multinational Division Command in Elbląg. In addition, it has been produced under WB Electronics licence by American company L3Harris, a global radio tycoon.
That's the tremendous possible we use.
– This is the only Polish military strategy that is licensed in the United States. About 10 1000 of them were created in Poland, and more than 25 1000 of them were licensed in the US,” the expert says. This strategy is inactive being produced and changed. We've added the TOPAZ strategy to it for artillery, the fire control system, now combat management. Since we have been a associate of ASCA for a year, we exchange information with any ASCA strategy in the world. For example, a Polish general can direct American artillery in Estonia. This is the tremendous possible that we use. The TOPAZ strategy is besides the basis of our unmanned systems and the exchange of information. He's in all artillery and engineering vehicle.
As he emphasizes, TOPAZ is something like an operating system, in which applications allow, for example, to steer unmanned, command logistics or shoot.
