The agreement concerns the supply of cooled infrared matrices, a fresh product line created by VIGO, utilizing state-of-the-art semiconductor technologies based on the T2SL super network. Infrared detector arrays consist of hundreds of thousands or even millions of active pixels that evidence heat radiation with extraordinary precision. Due to the advanced sensitivity required, they work at highly low temperatures, close to the temperature of liquid nitrogen. The semiconductor layer of these detectors is made of Group III-V materials, which allows to accomplish exceptional detection properties.
