“If this Union is as it is, we should leave it,” said erstwhile talker of the Sejm Marek Jurek in Polsat News’s “Most crucial Questions”. According to Jurka, Poland should "restitute its sovereignty in any perspective", but this will not happen soon. The reason, in the opinion of the erstwhile politician, is "two things" that keep Poland close to the European community. On the program Jurek besides talked about his hopes for the future president.
According to erstwhile talker of the Sejm, Marek Jurek, Poland should leave the ranks of the European Union "in any perspective". He recalled that in the EU referendum he voted against joining the community. At the same time, he believes that “Polexit” will not happen in the close future, as there are things that “hold” Poland in the European Union.
"First of all, it has been unchanged since the early 1990s to convince the public that we should be there. And that is just a social fact," said the talker of the Sejm. He added that accession to the Union was a "reflection of these sentiments".
The second thing to keep Poland in the EU is that “all the countries closest to us – the Central European countries – are in this Union”. "It is yet essential to be aware that this EU mechanics is simply a mechanics for the demolition of sovereignty", he stressed.
However, Jurek concludes that at this point, “Polexit” remains only a “propaganda slogan” and will stay so until its support in Polish society reaches 40%.
Karol Nawrocki – “the boy of the people”
Previously, the Polsat News program by Marek Jurek asked about his assessment of the result of the presidential election and his hopes for the upcoming presidency of Karol Nawrocki. The erstwhile talker of the Sejm then cited a passage of the conversation with the writer before the 2nd circular of the presidential election, which she called Nawrocki "a boy of the people". He will stress that he enjoyed utilizing the word “people” in a non-ironic way.
“It is the very fact that a boy whose father was an activist of the “Solidarity” plant commission, raised in a simple family, attached to tradition, etc. I am very happy about that," he said. He added that Nawrocki has "sufficient confidence" to bring peace in a divided society.
