Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced Tuesday that temporary border control with Germany and Lithuania would be restored. According to the Prime Minister, this is essential to minimise uncontrolled flows of migrants. A day later, on Wednesday, a draft regulation of the Ministry of abroad Affairs on the temporary reintroduction of border control for persons crossing the national border constituting the interior border was published on the website of the Government Legislative Centre. According to the document, temporary control on the Polish-German and Polish-Lithuanian border sections will be conducted from 7 July to 5 August**. There will be 50 border crossing points at the border with Germany and 13 border crossing points with Lithuania.
