Poland introduces temporary border control with Germany and Lithuania. Decision of Prime Minister Tusk

On Monday 7 July, temporary border checks will enter into force at the crossing points of Poland with Germany and Lithuania. This decision was announced by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, stressing that this is the consequence to the migration situation and the request to keep control over the movement of persons. The authorities in Warsaw argue that they are acting in the interests of the safety of the state and its citizens.
