Poland is losing its position as NATO leader. What happens to military spending?

The NATO government can change. Poland, which spent about 4.3% of GDP on defence in 2025, can give way to the Baltic countries this year. Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia announce that in 2027 they will spend at least 5% of GDP. At the same time, the Polish defence budget is expected to amount to PLN 198 billion, which is little than planned for 2026.
