On August 13 or 14, Poland and the United States will sign a billion-dollar contract to upgrade all F-16C/D Block 52+ fighters, which have been the backbone of the Polish Air Force for nearly 2 decades. It is an investment whose scale and cost make it 1 of the largest in Polish aviation history. The upgrade will cover 48 machines in active service.
